honorable mention award for
“Community Development Social
Engineer” in 2025 at Thailand
Research Expo 2025
✨On June 18,
2025, nursing students were able to
bring fame to the College of Nursing and
Health Sciences and Suan Sunandha
Rajabhat University by winning an
honorable mention award in the
“Community Development Social
Engineer” competition in 2025 at
the National Research Expo (Thailand
Research Expo 2025).
????Assistant
Professor Dr. Tassanee Atharas, Dean of
the College of Nursing and Health
Sciences, along with the Deputy Dean,
attended the award ceremony for the
Outstanding Community Development Social
Engineer Contest and sent encouragement
and congratulations to the students who
won the award for their work
“Development of products and
packaging for liquid soap with the scent
of pomelo oil by the Bang Nang Li
Community Enterprise Group”, which
focuses on strengthening the community
economy through research and innovation.
By applying knowledge of health and
nursing to the production process and
developing community products to be more
standardized, safe, and more interesting
in the market.

????The competition is
organized under the concept of
“Research for All: Connecting
Thailand’s Future With research
and innovation”, with General
Dapong Rattanasuwan, Privy Councilor, as
the chairman of the opening ceremony and
Dr. Wipharat Di-ong, Director of the
National Research Office (NRCT), who
reported on the objectives of this
event, which aims to promote all sectors
to participate in using research results
for sustainable development of the
country. ????The work of this group of
nursing students is a collaboration with
the Bang Nang Li Community Enterprise
Group, Samut Songkhram Province, by
inventing and developing a formula for
liquid soap from bee honey mixed with
essential oils from pomelo peels, along
with designing new packaging that
reflects local identity and appeals to
the modern market. It focuses on
integrating health knowledge with
community development, using a creative
public participation approach, in line
with the Sustainable Development Goals
(SDGs), namely: Goal 3: Good health and
well-being – by developing
activities to promote health and prevent
disease at the community level, Goal 4:
Quality education – reflecting
students’ hands-on learning
(Experiential Learning), Goal 10:
Reducing inequality – promoting
universal access to health services and
health knowledge. And Goal 17:
Partnership for Sustainable Development
– Linking Educational Institutions
and Communities for Sustainable
Change
???? This award reflects the
role of nursing students as
“social engineers” who drive
change at the community level with their
knowledge, creativity, and true spirit
of service to society.
???? The event
also included a signing ceremony of the
Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)
between the National Research Office
(NRCT) and 38 Rajabhat Universities,
with Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University
having Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rachana
Chantrasart, Vice President for Research
and Development, as the MOU
signer.

2025) will be held from June 16-20, 2025
at Centara Grand Hotel and Bangkok
Convention Center, Central World,
Bangkok.
