Empowering New Generation Nurses: College of Nursing and Health Sciences Organizes English Communication Skills Enhancement Program
--------------------------------
The
College of Nursing and Health Sciences
organized an English communication
skills enhancement program to elevate
the competence and potential of nursing
students, preparing them for effective
communication in professional contexts.
This program aims to meet the demands of
nursing and healthcare work in an
increasingly international
context.
Assistant Professor Dr.
Tasanee Attharas, Dean of the College of
Nursing and Health Sciences, assigned
lecturers Jay Cammer Caballes Nayuma and
Dyna Jean Calleza Lapating to lead the
project.
The project, held at the
College of Nursing and Health Sciences,
Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, Samut
Songkhram Campus, focused on developing
listening, speaking, reading, and
writing skills in English for practical
application in nursing situations. These
included communicating with foreign
patients and their families, taking
patient histories, providing health
advice, and working with
multidisciplinary teams. Active learning
activities were used to provide students
with effective skill practice. This
initiative aligns with the College of
Nursing and Health Sciences' mission
to develop quality graduates, boosting
the confidence and English communication
abilities of nursing students. The
ultimate goal is to cultivate
high-quality professional nurses ready
to adapt to changes in national and
international healthcare
systems.
