Nursing and Health participated in the
“Songkran Tradition Preservation
and Merit-Making Ceremony for the Thai
New Year
2026.”

Assistant
Professor Dr. Tasanee Attharos, Dean of
the College of Nursing and Health, along
with the executive committee, faculty
members, office heads, department heads,
staff, and students, participated in the
“Songkran Tradition Preservation
and Merit-Making Ceremony for the Thai
New Year 2026.” The event was held
on Friday, April 10, 2026, at the lobby
on the 1st floor of the Srisunant
Building (500-seat auditorium),
organized by Suan Sunandha Rajabhat
University, Samut Songkhram Campus.
Assistant Professor Dr. Pimpong
Thongmuang, Vice President of the Samut
Songkhram Campus, presided over the
ceremony.
The event included
important activities such as a
merit-making ceremony for
auspiciousness, the bathing of the
Buddha image of Luang Pho Ban Laem and
the replica of the statue of Queen
Sunantha Kumareerat, as well as the
water pouring ceremony to seek blessings
from the executive committee, which is a
way of showing respect and gratitude
according to Thai tradition. This event
provides an opportunity for
administrators, faculty, staff, and
students to express their love, unity,
and camaraderie within the organization,
and also serves as a blessing for the
Thai New Year.
