The College of Nursing and Health participated in a training program to promote national and international patent and utility model registration.

From April 30th to May 1st, 2026, Assistant Professor Dr. Tasanee Attharas, Dean, assigned Assistant Professor Ariya Deeprasert, Vice Dean for Research and Academic Services, along with Dr. Laksawirul Chotisiri, Dr. Sirikarn Dechworakun, Ms. Rachapa Withawinthanadol, and Mr. Phoptham Wichadee, faculty members from the College of Nursing, to attend a training course on promoting national and international patent and utility model registration.

The training was held at Amphawa Nanorn Hotel, Samut Songkhram Province, and organized by the Research and Development Institute, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, through the Intellectual Property Management and Business Incubation Division. The aim was to support and develop the potential of faculty members, researchers, and creators by providing them with knowledge and understanding of intellectual property protection, enabling them to further develop research into valuable innovations, and leading to concrete patent and utility model registration.

On this occasion, Assistant Professor Dr. Morakot Worachairungruang, Director of the Research and Development Institute, assigned Ms. Atittiya Buasri, Vice Director for Intellectual Property Management and Business Incubation, to preside over the opening ceremony. A total of 37 participants attended the project.

The training was honored by the presence of Ms. Jiraporn Lueangphairin, Director of the Intellectual Property Center, Khon Kaen University, who served as the lecturer. She imparted essential knowledge and skills regarding patent searching, the patent and utility model application process, and drafting applications correctly according to legal principles and related regulations. This prepared participants to effectively develop their research and innovation projects for intellectual property protection.

This project also aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), namely: SDG 1: End poverty, through empowering research to generate income and economic opportunities; SDG 8: Promote sustainable economic growth through the commercialization of innovation; and SDG 9: Industry, innovation, and infrastructure, through upgrading university research for intellectual property protection and sustainable innovation development.
