The College of Nursing and
Health Sciences Organizes English Camp
to Develop English Language Skills and
Enhance Nursing Students' Readiness
for International
Standards.
The College of
Nursing and Health Sciences, Suan
Sunandha Rajabhat University, organized
an English Communication Skills Training
Program (English Camp) for fourth-year
Bachelor of Nursing Science students
from June 26-28, 2026, at Asia Hotel
Pattaya, Chonburi Province. The aim was
to develop professional English
communication skills, build confidence
in communicating with patients,
multidisciplinary personnel, and
foreigners, and prepare students for
graduation and their future nursing
careers.
The training began with a
journey from Suan Sunandha Rajabhat
University to the project venue,
followed by an opening ceremony presided
over by Assistant Professor Dr. Tasanee
Attharas, Dean of the College of Nursing
and Health Sciences. This was followed
by icebreaker activities, team-building
exercises to promote cooperation and
collaborative learning among students,
before intensive English language
practice activities.
Throughout the
program, students participated in an
English Communication Challenge through
four learning stations: Vocabulary
Booth, Pronunciation Booth, Simulation
Booth, and Listening Booth. Foreign
speakers and experts shared their
knowledge during these sessions. The
program focuses on developing
vocabulary, pronunciation, listening
skills, and simulating communication
scenarios in the nursing profession.
This allows students to learn from
real-world experiences and effectively
apply English in patient care.
This
English Camp is a key activity in
enhancing the English language
proficiency of nursing students, coupled
with the development of professional
communication skills, teamwork,
leadership, analytical thinking, and
adaptation in a multicultural society.
These are fundamental to producing
high-quality nursing graduates who are
competitive at national and
international levels, aligning with the
College of Nursing and Health
Sciences' mission to produce capable
graduates who meet the future needs of
the healthcare system.
