
College of Nursing and Health Invites Participation in Buddhist Chanting and Merit-Making Ceremony on the Occasion of National Mother’s Day, Academic Year 2026
The College of Nursing and Health, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, invites administrators, faculty members, staff, and students to participate in a Buddhist chanting and merit-making ceremony dedicated as a royal merit on the occasion of National Mother’s Day, Academic Year 2026.
Assistant Professor Dr. Tassanee Attharos, Dean of the College of Nursing and Health, assigned Assistant Professor Kanchana Siricharoenwong, Vice Dean for Administration, together with staff members and students, to participate in the Buddhist chanting and merit-making ceremony dedicated as a royal merit to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, The Queen Mother, on the occasion of National Mother’s Day, Academic Year 2026.
The ceremony will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, from 8:15 a.m. onwards, at the First-Floor Hall, Srisunan Building (500-Seat Auditorium), Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, Samut Songkhram Campus.
The ceremony will include an offering of breakfast to 10 Buddhist monks, Buddhist chanting, a formal opening and prayer ceremony, the offering of robes and Thai Buddhist offerings, and almsgiving to the monks. These activities are held to dedicate merit to Her Majesty the Queen Mother, demonstrate loyalty and devotion to the monarchy, and preserve and promote Thailand’s valuable cultural traditions and customs.
