“Open Hearts,
Build Relationships, Unite as
One”: First-Year Nursing Students
Step into the Next Generation of
Leaders, Enhancing Teamwork
Skills.
The
College of Nursing and Health, Suan
Sunandha Rajabhat University, organized
the “Project to Develop the
Potential of First-Year Nursing Students
towards Leadership and Teamwork”
from August 9-11, 2026, at Purimas Beach
Hotel & Spa. Assistant Professor Dr.
Tasanee Attharas, Dean of the College of
Nursing and Health, assigned Assistant
Professor Dr. Rangsan Maraphen, Vice
Dean for Student Affairs, along with Mr.
Noppadol Inyasri, Head of the Office,
and staff, to conduct activities to
prepare first-year nursing students to
adapt to university life and studies.
The project aimed to enhance skills in
leadership, communication, teamwork,
responsibility, decision-making, and
problem-solving – key competencies
for learning, practice, and the future
nursing profession.
The project
involved 144 first-year nursing
students, focusing on preparing them for
university life and developing their
leadership, communication, and teamwork
skills. Responsibility, decision-making,
and problem-solving are fostered through
experiential activities and task-based
learning that promote planning,
role-sharing, coordination, and
systematic collaboration.
Throughout
the three-day program, students learn
through relationship-building
activities, teamwork, decision-making
and problem-solving practice, as well as
field activities and volunteer work.
These experiences connect to the role of
"leader, new nurse," enhancing
their confidence, responsibility, unity,
and readiness for their studies,
practice, and future nursing career.
