The College of Nursing and Health Sciences conducted school health activities to promote student health in the community.

On August 26, 2026, Lt. Col. Dr. Thanaporn Wannakul, along with fourth-year nursing students from the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, in collaboration with Public Health Service Center 24, Bang Khen, conducted a “School Health” activity at Prachaphiban School, Bangkok, as part of the Community Health Nursing Practice course.
The activity focused on promoting health and monitoring health problems among school-aged children. Nursing students participated in conducting physical health checkups and eye screenings for students from kindergarten to grade 4 to assess their initial health status, identify risks, and promote appropriate health care according to their age.
This field trip also provided students with real-world learning experiences, allowing them to apply their nursing knowledge and skills in practice, practice in child health assessment and screening, and learn to work collaboratively with public health personnel and educational institutions. This is a crucial part of developing community health nursing competencies.
This activity reflects the integration of teaching and learning with community service, coupled with promoting the well-being of school-aged children. And to prepare students to become professional nurses who possess the knowledge, skills, and ability to effectively care for the health of the public.
"Learning through practice, promoting community health, developing nursing students into professional nurses."
