College of Nursing and Health Collaborates with Health Center 24 Bang Khen to Organize “Wat Trai United Hearts, Staying Away from High Blood Pressure” Project

On September 1, 2026, fourth-year nursing students, in collaboration with Health Center 24 Bang Khen and local health networks, led by Police Major Dr. Thanaporn Wannakul, organized the “Wat Trai United Hearts, Staying Away from High Blood Pressure” project at Wat Trai Rattanaram Community, Bang Khen District, Bangkok.

The project aimed to promote knowledge, awareness, and health-care skills among community residents, particularly in the prevention and management of high blood pressure (hypertension).

The project featured a variety of health promotion activities, including:

???? Body Composition Assessment – Measuring muscle mass and body fat levels to help participants better understand their physical health.

???? Hypertension Education – Providing information about high blood pressure, along with a Hypertension Bingo Game to promote learning through fun and easy-to-understand activities.

???? Blood Pressure Measurement and Interpretation Practice – Teaching community members how to measure their blood pressure and interpret the results, enabling them to assess their own blood pressure levels and recognize the importance of regular health monitoring.

???? Exercise through Bas-Loop Dancing – Encouraging regular physical activity and healthy lifestyles through enjoyable group exercise.

???? Health Questions and Hypertension Bingo Game – Engaging participants through quizzes and games, with prizes provided to create an enjoyable learning environment and encourage active community participation.

These activities integrated nursing knowledge and skills into real-world community practice as part of the Community Health Nursing Practicum course. The project also strengthened collaboration and participation among nursing students, public health personnel, health networks, and community residents, contributing to the continuous and sustainable promotion of health and prevention of hypertension in the community.
