College of Nursing
and Health Combines Theory with Active
Learning to Enhance Nursing
Students'
Skills
On
September 9, 2026, the College of
Nursing and Health at Suan Sunandha
Rajabhat University conducted a class
for the course "Adult and Elderly
Nursing I" (Course Code NRS2204)
for second-year Bachelor of Nursing
Science students. The instruction
integrated theoretical study with Active
Learning methods, encouraging students
to systematically connect theoretical
knowledge to practical nursing
applications.
The session was led by
Dr. Nuengruethai Phosri, Deputy Dean for
Academic Affairs, assisted by Lecturer
Somjai Kasiwit, and took place at the
SimMan High-Fidelity Simulation
Laboratory.
The instructional
approach focused on providing students
with a foundational theoretical base
while actively engaging them in the
learning process. Through Active
Learning activities, the course fostered
critical thinking, the exchange of
ideas, nursing decision-making, and the
application of knowledge, thereby
preparing students and developing their
competencies for effective nursing
practice.
