College of Nursing
and Health Meets First-Year Students to
Outline Preparations for the
“Nursing English
Festival”
On
September 11, 2026, Mr. Jay Cammer
Caballes Nayuma and Lecturer Nonglak
Kaewthong met with first-year Bachelor
of Nursing Science students to explain
the details, schedule, and preparation
guidelines for the “College of
Nursing and Health English Festival
– 2nd Annual English Festival
Project Presentation.”
The
event aims to encourage nursing students
to develop English communication skills
through scenarios linked to nursing and
healthcare. It also seeks to foster
confidence, critical thinking, teamwork,
and professionalism, preparing students
for their future studies and
professional practice.
The project
activities include a Spelling Bee,
Nursing English Quiz Bee, Crossword
Challenge, Role Play, Speech Contest,
Case Presentation, Debate, and Singing
Challenge. Each activity targets
specific skill development—such as
medical and nursing vocabulary,
nurse-patient communication,
professional presentation, public
speaking, and clear English
pronunciation.
This briefing session
was designed to ensure a clear
understanding of the event format and
procedures, enabling first-year students
to plan, prepare, and participate to
their full potential. Furthermore, it
promotes the application of English
within the field of nursing—a
crucial step in enhancing student
competencies toward professionalism and
readiness for the global healthcare
context.
