College of Nursing and Health Leads Fourth-Year Nursing Students in School Health Practicum to Provide Health Screening for Preschool Children

From October 5–7, 2026, the College of Nursing and Health, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, led by Maj. Dr. Thanaporn Wannakul, brought fourth-year nursing students to participate in a school health practicum as part of the Community Nursing Practicum course.

In collaboration with Bang Khen Public Health Service Center 24, the students provided health screenings and assessed the health status of young children at three child development centers:

1. Charoensiri Child Development Center

2. Anan Suk San Community Child Development Center

3. Bangkok Metropolitan Administration Government Officials and Employees Housing Child Development Center, Ram Inthra 39

The activity formed an important part of the students’ professional nursing experience, allowing them to apply their knowledge of community nursing and child health promotion in real-world settings. Through the practicum, students gained hands-on experience in health assessment, health promotion, disease prevention, and collaboration with healthcare personnel and community members.

This practical experience helps strengthen their professional skills and prepares them to become competent, compassionate, and well-prepared professional nurses who can contribute effectively to the health and well-being of children and communities.
