The College of
Nursing and Health Hosts a Community
Forum to Share Findings with the
Community Behind Wat
Matchantikaram
On
October 20, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 11:00
AM, the College of Nursing and Health at
Suan Sunandha Rajabhat
University—represented by
Assistant Professor Wiphakorn Sonsanam
and nursing students—collaborated
with Public Health Service Center 19
(Wongsawang) to hold a community forum
for the residents living behind Wat
Matchantikaram. This initiative was part
of the Community Health Nursing
Practicum course.
The forum
served as a platform to share
health-related data and insights
gathered from a community assessment
with local residents. It provided an
opportunity for community members to
exchange ideas, reflect on
health-related challenges and needs, and
collectively prioritize these issues.
The information gathered will be used to
plan and develop solutions tailored to
the specific context and requirements of
the local
population.
Furthermore, this
forum facilitated experiential learning
for nursing students, allowing them to
apply their knowledge of community
health nursing, practice collaborating
with the public and health networks, and
foster engagement between the academic
institution, public health service
providers, and the community.
Ultimately, this collaborative effort
aims to promote well-being and address
community challenges in an appropriate
and sustainable manner.
