On October 21, 2026, the College of Nursing and Health, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University (SSRU), led by Assistant Professor Dr. Lakwirun Chotisiri, together with fourth-year Bachelor of Nursing Science students, collaborated with Huai Khwang Public Health Service Center 25 under the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration’s Health Department to organize the “Community Health Forum: Bueng Rama 9 Pattana Community, Huai Khwang District.”
The activity was held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the multipurpose sports ground in Bueng Rama 9 Pattana Community, Huai Khwang District, Bangkok.
The event included preliminary health screenings for community residents and provided opportunities for them to express their opinions and vote on issues affecting their community. These activities aimed to identify community health and environmental concerns, understand residents’ needs, and collectively develop appropriate solutions. The initiative also promoted unity and strengthened community resilience through active public participation.
This activity highlights the collaboration among educational institutions, public health agencies, and community members in promoting health and improving the quality of life of local residents. It also provided nursing students with valuable opportunities to gain hands-on experience, practice health promotion skills, and develop their ability to work effectively with communities, preparing them to become professional nurses who demonstrate social responsibility and contribute to sustainable community development.
