Community United for a Diabetes-Free and
Safer Community” Health Promotion
Activity
On
October 28, 2026, the College of Nursing
and Health, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat
University (SSRU), led by Assistant
Professor Wiphakorn Sonsanam,
collaborated with Public Health Service
Center 19 to organize the activity
“Wat Noi Community United for a
Diabetes-Free and Safer
Community.” The event was held in
front of the home of the Wat Noi
Community’s Public Health
Volunteer (OSS) leader, with the aim of
promoting health knowledge and raising
public awareness of diabetes
prevention.
The activity featured
several key initiatives, including
diabetes screening, exercise promotion,
and educational sessions on making
appropriate food choices for people who
need to control their blood sugar
levels. Participants also received
guidance on self-care practices to
reduce the risk of developing diabetes
and its complications. In addition,
prizes were provided to encourage
participation and motivate community
members to engage in the
activities.
This initiative
highlights the collaboration between
educational institutions and public
health agencies in advancing preventive
healthcare. It aims to equip community
members with the knowledge and practical
skills needed to care for themselves and
their families effectively, contributing
to the development of a healthier and
more sustainable community.
