The objective was to disseminate knowledge on nutrition, the appropriate use of sea salt for health, and to leverage local resources to sustainably upgrade community product standards.
The project was honored with an opening ceremony presided over by Assistant Professor Ariya Deeprasert. Assistant Professor Dr. Sipapha Phummarak, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, University of Thai Chamber of Commerce, served as a guest speaker, providing knowledge on the nutritional value of sea salt, proper nutrition for health, and guidelines for developing community products to meet market standards, gain market acceptance, and be economically competitive.
In addition, a workshop on making salted eggs with sea salt was conducted to enhance the skills and knowledge of community members, enabling them to apply this knowledge to health care and create added value for local products.
This project aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically:
SDG 3: Good health and well-being – promoting healthcare through proper nutrition.
