Assistant Professor Dr. Rangsan
Maraphen, Deputy Dean for Student
Affairs, along with third-year nursing
students, visited Bang Nang Li
Subdistrict to develop products and
design packaging to add value to the
Pomelo Peel Oil Massage Balm product of
the Bang Nang Li Community State
Enterprise. The focus is on students
developing soft skills and applying the
skills known as social engineering,
which consist of five tools, to the
context of the community they are
responsible for as a means of spatial
development and promoting the quality of
life of people in the community. Most
people in the community are farmers and
grow fruits, such as pomelo, coconut,
and lychee. Pomelo is a famous fruit of
the community. In addition to selling
them, the community enterprise group
processes them into various products.
Some of them have a non-formal education
center to teach about developing various
products in the community, creating a
guarantee of good health and promoting
well-being for everyone at all ages
(SDGs 3), such as making bar soap and
lip balm, which generates additional
income. The group of nursing students
practiced in the community and
participated in the work of the
enterprise. They saw the importance of
available resources and designed a
Pomelo peel oil massage balm product to
create an infrastructure that promotes
and develops innovation in community
enterprises for sustainability (SDGs 9),
which resulted in increased income in
the community enterprise group and a
better quality of life for people in the
Bang Nang Lee community. Society is
happier and the products are
environmentally friendly because they
are natural products.
